A modern take on American traditional rock, The Fifth Star Band grooves to a funky, old school beat that’s guaranteed to get you dancing. Building on the momentum of their fourth album, "Tales Untold", this Chicago-based roots rock band continues to deliver upbeat, soulful tunes that are elevated by their energetic live performances.

Weaving together a blend of vintage soul, classic rock, punchy pop, and funk, TFSB's sound is a combination only made possible by the diverse and dynamic musical backgrounds of vocalist/guitarist Jordan Sawyer, saxophonist Eric Pedone, pianist Tyler Priest, and bassist Matt Bonistalli, cellist Annie Griffin, and drummer Jesse Ferber.

Since emerging on the Chicago music scene in the summer of ‘16, The Fifth Star Band has played all over the city and around the Midwest at venues such as The Cubby Bear, Reggie’s, Martyrs, Epiphany Center for the Arts, Virgin Hotels Chicago, The Elbo Room, and multiple yearly stops at The Store in Lincoln Park. The Fifth Star Band draws inspiration from Anderson East, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, The Revivalists, Van Morrison, and Tom Petty.
